Our story began in 2012, when the idea of building a dream mountain lodge first took shape in the minds of its owners. The journey to bring it to life was not easy, but after eleven years, the dream became reality. Štiavnická Anča Lodge opened its doors in July 2023, and its uniqueness lies in the fact that the owners carried out most of the work themselves. Thanks to attention to detail and the use of natural materials, a cozy and distinctive space was created. The lodge’s centerpiece is an old wooden horse-drawn cart and massive oak stairs made from 200-year-old wood. The lodge is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. The lodge is named after the Štiavnická Anča steam locomotive, which has been running between Hronská Breznica and Banská Štiavnica since 1873. It still operates today in a modern form and can sometimes be seen from our terrace. From the very beginning, we have offered honest regional cuisine made from high-quality local ingredients. In addition to traditional Slovak dishes, you can enjoy specialties from Czech and Hungarian cuisine, as well as game dishes. Every meal is prepared with love and a focus on freshness and quality. We hope to become a welcoming stop for you on your journey in search of good food.
